C/M/Y vol.1 waterfall

We usually see a lot of images in our daily lives. They make me realize that the value between them and my photographs are equal in terms of image.I wanted to ask a question "what is a photograph?" through this C/M/Y vol.1 project by creating images that were combined and reconstructed with various images.

I first processed three color separation (cyan/magenta/yellow) for the original images in water using tweezers (this process is only possible with digital polaroid). I then superimposed each color to reconstruct new images, different from the originals.

I think there's real adventure in our daily lives. Especially when we challenge new things there's always failure, and have to overcome it even it's little by little.

When I started this project, It was challenging to actually use the new technical method on my art. Because not only I was technically nerves by using tweezers to separate thin layers of photograph by colors, but also it had weird feeling to break images up, like I am doing something bad. However, I was very surprised to see great colors and unique shapes that pops up by superimposing the layers. It is tough working with sensitive Skin-thin layers, but putting different colors of layers make me feel as similar as layering colors by silkscreening.
